Vigo County Jail Log: Nov. 26, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Monday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Monday

Keith R. Terstegge, 37, 1000 block of North Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:05 a.m. Contempt of court.

Douglas L. Allsup Sr., 37, 5500 block of Forest Lane, Poland. Booked 1:29 p.m. Failure to appear.

Jonathan P. Rich, 20, 1400 block of South 11 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:14 p.m. Probation violation.

Chad F. Butts, 28, 11500 block of S. U.S. 41, Terre Haute. Booked 3:52 p.m. Burglary and theft.

James M. Bennett, 56, 3200 block of South Center Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:32 p.m. Intimidation, interference with a crime report, police battery, false reporting/informing and resisting law enforcement.

George H. Hays, 29, 10400 block of East 775th Avenue, Robinson, Ill. Booked 4:54 p.m. Failure to appear.

Adrian J. Brown, 19, 300 block of North Forest Avenue, Brazil. Booked 5:23 p.m. Theft.

Kelly Pittman, 24, 1900 block of East Wheeler, Terre Haute. Booked 8:11 p.m. Leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Tabitha R. Jordan, 28, 1300 block of South Fourth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:23 p.m. Habitual traffic violator.

Daniel E. Atterson, 47, 7100 block of Weeks Drive, Terre Haute. Booked 10:55 p.m. Theft.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
