TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Thursday and Friday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Thursday

Billy R. Price, 26, 2600 block of North 27th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:25 a.m. Failure to appear.

Damita Hawkins, 49, 600 block of Fifth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:33 a.m. False reporting/informing and contempt of court.

Shane J. McGovern, 33, 300 block of Kent Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 2:16 p.m. Bond revocation.

James G. Dowers, 22, 3400 block of West Old U.S. 40, Terre Haute. Booked 3:59 p.m. Probation violation.

Shawn L. McBride, 27, 900 block of North Fourth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:16 p.m. Probation violation and failure to appear.

Jordan L. Schoffstall, 23, 5300 block of East Hulman Drive, Terre Haute. Booked 5:54 p.m. Theft and possession of paraphernalia.

Daniel L. Allen, 38, 500 block of East National Avenue, Brazil. Booked 6:53 p.m. Possession of methamphetamine (two counts), resisting law enforcement, escape (two counts) and dealing methamphetamine.

Hazel A. Brenton, 44, 300 block of South 13 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 7:11 p.m. Assisting a criminal.

Robert D. Quick, 33, 1500 block of South 13 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:25 p.m. Disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Toby J. Hostetler, 37, 2200 block of Boston Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 8:47 p.m. Battery-domestic.

Everett L. Meeker, 59, 10 block of North 14th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:01 p.m. Failure to appear (seven counts).

Theresa A. Chapman, 49, 2300 block of Hulman Drive, Terre Haute. Booked 9:09 p.m. Battery-domestic.

William R. Cook, 22, 500 block of West Riggy Avenue, West Terre Haute. Booked 9:58 p.m. Probation violation.

Shawn V. Rogers, 37, 400 block of East Margaret Drive, Terre Haute. Booked 9:59 p.m. Criminal mischief.

Friday

Dominic Smith, 19, 2200 block of North 26th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:02 a.m. Criminal trespassing.

Guy M. Bosserman, 59, 2000 block of South 19th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:42 a.m. Criminal trespassing.

Gabrielle L. Ellis, 18, 1400 block of South Sixth Street, Clinton. Booked 1:23 a.m. Failure to appear.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
