TERRE HAUTE — A May 20 speedy trial remains set for a Terre Haute woman accused of participating with her husband in sexual misconduct with a minor.

Jennifer Lee Mahoney, 35, has been charged in Vigo Superior Court 3 with two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, vicarious sexual gratification, child solicitation and dissemination of matter harmful to a minor.

An investigation by the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department in March 2013 led to the arrest of Mahoney and her husband Matthew, who was volunteering as a youth pastor at a Terre Haute church at the time of the incidents. The investigation revealed that the victim regularly stayed overnight at the couple’s home.

Matthew Mahoney, 37, pleaded guilty to seven criminal charges filed against him. In April, he was ordered to serve 10 years in prison, followed by two years on formal probation.

During Jennifer Mahoney’s pre-trial conference on Thursday, the judge ordered that 60 prospective jurors be called to report for jury selection at 9 a.m. May 20. The trial is estimated to last four days.
