Vigo County Jail Log: Aug. 9, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Thursday and Friday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Thursday

Cody J. Ervin, 24, 200 block of Poplar Road, Montezuma. Booked 8:43 a.m. Failure to appear.

William Johnson, 44, 1500 block of South Seventh Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:40 a.m. Rape, criminal deviate conduct, criminal confinement, serious battery and interference with crime report.

Kenneth M. Walling, 37, 2300 block of U.S. 150, West Terre Haute. Booked 1:04 p.m. Neglect of a dependent and failure to appear.

Tracy Walling, 32, 2300 block of U.S. 150. Booked 3:38 p.m. Neglect of a dependent.

Chad A. Miller, 32, 3700 block of East Buelah Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 3:50 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Gretchen M. Patton, 3700 block of East Buelah Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 3:59 p.m. Possession of controlled substance.

Judd M. Hopkins, 32, 8700 block of Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 4:47 p.m. Nonsupport of a child.

Joshua M. Howell, 20, 300 block of South 15th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 6:16 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts) and parole violation.

Stewart R. Toney, 44, 1600 block of Fourth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 7:09 p.m. Public intoxication.

Friday

Jason L. Buchanan, 25, 1100 block of Sixth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 2:28 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Brandon M. Franklin, 24, 700 block of North 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:04 a.m. Failure to appear.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
