Couple arrested on multiple sexual misconduct charges

Alleged victim is an 11-year-old girl

TERRE HAUTE — A Putnam County woman and her boyfriend are facing allegations they committed sexual felonies against an 11-year-old girl.

The Indiana State Police arrested Victoria Lynn Anderson, 29, and her boyfriend, Jeremy Scott Doerr, 36, both of Cloverdale about 8 p.m. Monday. They are facing several felony allegations including child solicitation, child molestation, sexual battery and dissemination of matter harmful to a minor – all class-D felonies. They are also preliminarily charged with vicarious sexual gratification, a class-C felony.

Anderson is also preliminarily charged with neglect of a dependent, a class-D felony.

Both were taken to the Vigo County jail Monday night.

In a news release, the ISP stated detectives started their investigation on Friday after the 11-year-old victim alerted a family member about the alleged molestation. The family member contacted the Putnam County Department of Child Services, which then contacted the state police.

During their investigation, detectives developed information alleging Anderson and Doerr showed the victim various sexually related photographs and videos, engaged in various sexual acts in front of the young girl and then required the victim to engage in various sexual acts with the couple and with Doerr independently. The acts allegedly took place earlier this month during a weekend stay at a motel in Terre Haute near Margaret Avenue, according to the release.

The case was investigated by ISP Detectives First Sgt. Jeff Hearon, Sam Stearley and Mike Taylor. Assisting was the Putnam County Department of Child Services.
