Vigo County Jail Log: July 11, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Charles M. Wright, 64, no address, New Goshen. Booked 7:10 a.m. Residential entry, resisting law enforcement and intimidation.

Emanuel D. Bained, 38, 2200 block of Cleveland Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:57 a.m. Theft.

Robert C. Hoopengarner, 50, 3400 block of  East Woodsmall Drive, Terre Haute. Booked 12:29 p.m. Bond revocation.

Tina D. Coffman, 48, 1600 block of West Washington, West Terre Haute. Booked 3:18 p.m. Court order (two counts).

Lucas W. Strassler, 22, 2500 block of East Thomas Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 6:02 p.m. Bond revocation.

John F. Harvey, 50, 1900 block of Woodlawn Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 8:08 p.m. Failure to appear   

Mercy Ayaaba, 27, 3600 block of West Bellefountain Road, Hamilton, Ind. Booked 8:27 p.m. Dealing-schedule 1, maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent.

Michael Baughman, 36, 3600 block of West Bellefountain Road, Hamilton, Ind. Booked 10:35 p.m. Dealing-schedule 1, maintaining a common nuisance and neglect of a dependent.

Larry W. Gossett, 40, 17000 block of South County Road 250 East, Clinton. Booked 11:48 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Melvin S. Lipscomb, 21, 700 block of North 7th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:53 p.m. Possession marijuana/hash.

Wednesday

Christie L. Meeker, 39, 800 block of North 14th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:33 a.m. Battery-by body waste and public intoxication.  

Terrance C. Trotter, 21, 2900 block of South 13th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:54 a.m. Failure to appear.   

Justin Cox, 23, 700 block of South Horsce, Jasonville. Booked 4:22 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
