PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. – A resurfacing project on Interstate 70 will close the eastbound exit ramp to Indiana 243, Exit 37, from 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6 until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, to resurface the ramp. The contractor then plans to close the Indiana 243 on-ramp to eastbound I-70 from 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 until 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8.
This project on I-70 will resurface the interstate from three miles west of Indiana 243 to just over one half of one mile west of U.S. 231. The project, awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction for $7.2 million, is scheduled for completion by Aug. 16.
The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.
