ROSEDALE — The victim in a Parke County homicide that occurred last week has been identified as Kathryn A. Bays, 55, of Rosedale.
The Parke County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement this morning stating that the suspect in the slaying — 52-year-old Earl L. Edwards — was arrested Friday afternoon in Alpharetta, Ga. Edwards is expected to be brought to Parke County from Georgia by investigators on Wednesday to face charges in Parke Circuit Court.
An autopsy conducted Monday determined that cause of death for Bays was blunt force trauma to the head.
Bays was discovered dead in her Rosedale home on Friday afternoon. Police have said that Edwards turned himself in to Georgia authorities.
