Vigo County Jail Log: Sept. 18, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Melvin R. Bell, 28, 200 block of Kent Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 9:11 a.m. Probation violation.

Kenny W. Cheesman, 39, 3000 block of South 9 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:03 p.m. Court order.

M. Holden-Overstreet, 28, 10 block of Foulkes Drive, Terre Haute. Booked 12:28 p.m. Failure to appear.

Michael J. Rybka, 19, 10100 block of East Railroad Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 12:32 p.m. Court order.

James W. Wilson, 47, 600 block of West National Avenue, West Terre Haute. Booked 3:38 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Mark A. Shaffer, 49, 1400 block of North 15th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:30 p.m. Failure to appear.

Bwana M. Clements, 18, 1100 block of Sedgehill Lane, Indianapolis. Booked 10:15 p.m. Dealing marijuana/hash and receiving stolen property.

Daniel L. Hines, 36, 2000 block of North 10th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:20 p.m. Failure to appear and public intoxication.

Anthony Bell, 31, 600 block of South Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:47 p.m. Public intoxication.

Wednesday

Jeffrey L. Fields, 32, transient, Terre Haute. Booked 2:35 a.m. Dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of pseudoephedrine and possession of controlled substance.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
