Vigo County Jail Log: June 26, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Eric A. Joy, 41, 1800 block of North 24th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:29 a.m. Receiving stolen property.

Ronnie R. Joy, 52, 2200 block of Fourth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:32 a.m. Receiving stolen property.

Anthony J. Piper, 37, 2300 block of Eighth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 3:21 p.m. Court order.

Wayne R. Compton, 25, 1400 block of South 21st Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:45 p.m. Failure to appear.

Anthony J. Johnson, 38, 2900 block of South Fifth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 4:56 p.m. Failure to appear.

Demetrius R. Adams, 36, 1500 block of South Fourth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:04 p.m. Driving while suspended.

Johnathan L. Ready, 36, 3200 block of North 17th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 6:23 p.m. Operating while intoxicated and resisting law enforcement.

Anthony J. Leclercq, 30, 1600 block of Idaho Street, Terre Haute. Booked 6:49 p.m. Dealing marijuana/hash and maintaining a common nuisance.

David T. Byers, 45, 2100 block of North 23rd Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:11 p.m. Failure to appear.

Ontario Lowe, 22, 600 block of South Seabury Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:55 p.m. Criminal trespassing and leaving scene-property damage.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
