Linton man in stable condition after stabbing

TERRE HAUTE — A Linton man is recovering from a stab wound received in an altercation late Wednesday.

Tarry Weddle, 33, remains in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in stable condition.

Detective Jim O’Malley of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department reports that Weddle was involved in a physical altercation with several people earlier in the day Wednesday. The stabbing occurred at a residence along Greene County Road 1175 West about 2.5 miles north of Linton.

Weddle was taken to Greene County General Hospital where he was evaluated and later transferred to the Indianapolis hospital.

No arrests have been made in the case, which remains under investigation.
