CASEY, Ill. —
The discovery of skeletal remains Wednesday in an Illinois field is under investigation by the Illinois State Police at Effingham.
The Casey Police Department initially handled the case, but handed off the investigation to ISP, who referred all media questions about the investigation to the Clark County State’s Attorney Office in Marshall, Ill.
A secretary in the state’s attorney office told the Tribune-Star that no information would be released on the discovery of the skeletal remains until today.
Coroner Pearce’s office stated that investigation into the skeletal remains was ongoing.
