TERRE HAUTE — Dreams Come True Films is one step closer to completing its third film by officially bringing on an actor from the series “Army Wives.”

Candy Beard, CEO of Dreams Come True Films stated in an e-mail that she took out a business loan in order to secure the funds to bring on one of her favorite actors on to her movie set of “Vanished.” Richard Bryant, the actor who played Jeremy Sherwood in “Army Wives” for five seasons until his character was killed, will join Beard and her crew Aug. 6 to begin filming his part of the movie. He will be playing the father of the abducted child.

“We were losing time and we felt it [time] was something we could not spare,” she stated. “I actually booked his flight on Tuesday and it felt amazing. There is no turning back.”

Bryant will return to his home in Charleston, S.C., on Aug. 15, Beard stated. There are more than 120 actors and actresses from 17 different states coming to Terre Haute to cast in the film.

“Composers have contacted us from New Zealand, London, New York, and L.A. who all want to be the one to score our film,” she stated. “I am in awe of it all. It seems like a dream that I don’t want to wake up from.”

She stated that the majority of filming will be completed in August but will continue through February.

Beard is looking to the Terre Haute community for assistance. She stated she “desperately needs” a mobile home park to film exterior scenes approximately eight to 10 times. She also would like anyone who owns an R.V. business to loan her an R.V. for Bryant. Film credit and other perks are available to all who lend a hand.

“Vanished” is a film about a child being abducted and how the family survives the aftermath. The idea was sparked from a nightmare Beard had in January of 2007 when she dreamt she lost her child. She published a book about it in 2008.

Beard has written 10 short films and 13 full-length screenplays. Two screenplays have been published, the first being “In a Cage” and the second being “This Promise I Made.”
