TERRE HAUTE —
A man shot in an attempted robbery at his home was in stable condition on Wednesday after surgery at an Indianapolis hospital and is expected to recover, said John Plasse, Terre Haute chief of police.
Two men allegedly entered the man’s home on Buckeye Street on Tuesday, where an altercation led to the man being shot, according to the THPD. He was transported to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
The incident, which was reported to police about 1:30 p.m., did not appear to be a home invasion, Plasse said.
No arrests have been made in the case and police are still investigating, Plasse told the Tribune-Star.
The suspects in the case were described as two black males between ages 20 and 30 wearing bandanas and dark hoodies.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call THPD at 812-238-1661.
