A Rockville man faces criminal charges after a domestic disturbance and a three-hour manhunt.
Jeffrey A. Tucker, 53, was arrested Sunday night along U.S. 36 near U.S. 41 on charges of domestic battery and intimidation, both of which are class-D felonies.
Indiana State Police at Putnamville said troopers responded to a Rockville residence around 6:35 p.m. and found a woman who had called Parke County 911 to say she had been battered by her husband, who was armed with a handgun.
When troopers arrived at the home, Tucker had fled on foot. He was found walking along the highway and was taken into custody and lodged in the Parke County Jail to await a hearing in Parke Circuit Court.
The alleged victim had marks on her body and complained of pain, but she refused medical attention.
