TERRE HAUTE — A Brazil man has been arrested for attempted murder after a Tuesday afternoon shooting at Fontanet.

Brent Cooley, 46, allegedly went to the home of the 33-year-old victim as part of an ongoing dispute about a debt of $25, reports the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department.

Cooley was arrested at a nearby Fontanet business to which he drove after the shooting.

The victim, who resides in the 9100 block of Baldwin Street, suffered a cut and burn on his cheek from being grazed by the .45-caliber bullet allegedly fired by Cooley, said Chief Deputy Clark Cottom.
