Vigo County Jail Log: April 29, 2014

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Monday and Tuesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Monday

Mike C. Niccum, 50, 2700 block of Durkees Ferry Road, West Terre Haute. Booked 7:14 a.m. Probation violation.

Bobby L. Brown Jr., 34, 1600 block of Deming Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:29 p.m. Criminal confinement, domestic battery, strangulation and interference with a crime report.

Tonya M. Hamilton, 26, 2100 block of South Sixth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:37 p.m. False reporting/informing.

James M. McCauley, 55, 10 block of East Johnson Avenue, West Terre Haute. Booked 1:20 p.m. Bond revocation.

Jerome W. Binkley, 50, 4400 block of West Reformatory Road, Pendleton. Booked 1:58 p.m. Court order and murder.

Jeffrey W. Strain Jr., 700 block of East Beech Street, Sullivan. Booked 2:48 p.m. Failure to appear.

Tiffany L. Sears, 31, 8700 block of East Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 3:10 p.m. Failure to appear.

Melissa Blasnig, 35, 2600 block of North Seventh Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:10 p.m. Obscene performance to minors.

Tuesday

Kevin L. Bunting, 44, 1400 block of Second Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 12:42 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and failure to appear.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
