Day of Action help needed

Volunters still needed for many tasks; time running out

TERRE HAUTE — Time is running out to volunteer for the United Way of the Wabash Valley’s Day of Action on Friday.

Volunteers are still needed for these locations:

• Booker T. Washington Community Center – cleaning and organizing

• Bright Hope Riders of the Wabash Valley – wooden building projects

• Catholic Charities of Terre Haute Christmas Store – sorting and shelving

• Catholic Charities of Terre Haute Foodbank – loading food, general cleanup

• Catholic Charities of Terre Haute Ryves Youth Center – computer repair and organization

• Dobbs Park – removal of invasive plants (must be at least age 18 to help)

• Humane Society of Sullivan County – help with animals

• ISU Community Gardens – garden maintenance

• John Paul II Catholic High School – outside work

• Meals on Wheels – meal delivery

• Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society – maintenance, cleanup, building, help with animals

• Sisters of Providence White Violet Center – weeding, watering, landscaping (must be at least age 18)

• Sisters of Providence Center – outside work (must be at least age 18)

• Sisters of Providence Cemetery – beautification (must be at least age 18)

• Terre Haute Humane Society – painting, cleaning, outside work

• United Child Care – outside work, including painting

• Valley Child Development Center – painting, trimming, mulching, window washing

• Vigo County Historical Society – outside work, especially those with carpentry experience (must be 18)

• Vigo County YMCA – painting and landscaping

• Wabash Valley Goodwill – painting (must be at least 18)

• Wabash Valley Health Center – window and bottle washing
