TERRE HAUTE — The Terre Haute Parks and Recreation department will close Deming Park for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. The gates will, however, open at 10:30 a.m. for in-the-park parking. Exiting will be in the back of the park.

A festive theme is planned starting at 11 a.m. on the Torner Community Center parking lot. There will be concessions available for purchase, free handouts and a bunny train ride for $1.25. The Easter Bunny will arrive on a THFD fire truck at 11:30.

The first hunt starts at 1 p.m. for 2- to 4-year-olds and physically challenged children; a second hunt at 1:30 for 5- to 7-year-olds; and a third hunt at 1:45 p.m. for 8- to 10-year-olds.
