Disabilities group among 51 community efforts receiving FFB trust funds


TERRE HAUTE — The 51 recipients from FFB trusts

Funds totaling more than $123,203.25 from trusts established by Oscar Baur, Frederick R. Benson, Mary Smith Young and Sheldon Swope were distributed to 51 area not-for-profit organizations on Tuesday. These four Terre Haute citizens established trusts through their wills at First Financial Bank, providing for the charitable gifts. Funds from the trusts are distributed to charitable organizations annually, based on the benefactors’ criteria.

Distributions were made to the following organizations:

• 14th and Chestnut Community Center

• Alternatives for Living and Learning Inc.

•  American Red Cross of the Wabash Valley

•  Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Vigo County Inc.

•  Catholic Charities of Terre Haute

•  Community Chest

•  Covenant Cooperative Ministry

•  Crossroads of America Council — Boy Scouts of America

•  Educational Family Services

•  Exchange Club of Terre Haute

•  Friends of Historic Allen Chapel

•  Friends of the Arboretum Inc.

•  Gibault Inc.

•  Girl Scouts of Central Indiana

•  Hamilton Center Inc.

•  Happiness Bag Inc.

•  Junior Achievement of the Wabash Valley Inc.

•  Light House Mission Inc.

•  Maple Center Inc.

•  McMillan Adult Day Service

•  Mental Health America of Vigo County

•  Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

•  St. Joseph University Parish
