Salvation Army accepting Christmas assistance applications

TERRE HAUTE — As the holiday season approaches, the Salvation Army is accepting applications for Christmas assistance to help low-income individuals and families.

Applications are being taken at the Salvation Army office, 234 S. Eighth St., on the following days/times: Oct. 29-Nov. 1, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., with extended hours Oct. 31, from 4-6 p.m.; and Nov. 5-8, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with extended hours Nov. 7, 4-6 p.m.

The Salvation Army of Terre Haute is taking contributions to support the effort. To make a donation, call 812-232-4081, stop by the office on Eighth Street or go online to www.saterrehaute.org.
