One person was injured this morning in a three-vehicle crash in southern Sullivan County.
The Indiana State Police report that a Ford F150 pickup driven by Eden Bault, 30, of Oden allegedly drove into the path of a car headed south on U.S. 41 in Carlisle about 10:10 a.m.
Bault was headed west on Indiana 58 and was later cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
The driver of the south-bound vehicle, Cary Dohner, 64, was taken to Sullivan County Community Hospital for treatment of hip and internal pain, according to the ISP. Bault’s vehicle, after being hit broadside, then struck a grain truck being driven by Clifford Orr, 27, of Carlisle.
Seatbelts were in use by all drivers, according to police. Drugs and/or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
In addition to state police, other emergency responders at the scene included the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, Sullivan County EMS, Haddon Township Fire/Rescue and the Carlisle Town Marshal’s Office.
