TERRE HAUTE — Models donning day, evening and weekend attire will be featured in a fashion and hair show to benefit PINK of Terre Haute.

The show, called “Project Pink, Live from the Pink Carpet” will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Indiana Theatre.

“Pink helps people currently in breast cancer treatments with everyday items, or if they just need someone to go to treatments with them. They are there for support. The money raised stays local,” said Lori Mitchell, owner of Millie & Maude Boutique, one of four downtown fashion stores that will be featured in the show.

The event will feature a disc jockey, a cash bar and 12 vendors, such as Avon or Evolution Fitness. A raffle will also be held, with items such as a Pandora bracelet from Ross Elliott Jewelers, gift baskets and gift certificates.

Each boutique will have five to six models, featuring day, evening and weekend attire. Each model is a breast cancer survivor, Mitchell said. Hair salons will also conduct a presentation of how they made “a complete makeup makeover from day to evening,” Mitchell said.

It will be the first year of the event, which is planned to become an annual fundraiser for Pink of Terre Haute, Mitchell said. Tickets are $10 in advance at Millie & Maude at 11 S. Seventh St. or by calling 812-239-8864. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15.

There are only two VIP tickets at $20 remaining, Mitchell said. Those tickets allow a spectator to sit at a table, which will have a server, along the fashion runway.

Featured boutiques are Millie & Maude, Modern Charm Boutique, Rogers Jewelers & Boutique and Whimsy Boutique. Featured hair salons are Bluebird Style Studio, Elements Salon & Spa, Hair Goddess and Annalee’s Beauty Salon and Shop.

Models will feature shoes from Corey’s Fine Footwear.
