Vigo County Jail Log: May 24, 2013

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Thursday and Friday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Thursday

Scott L. Hoff, 51, 100 block of South First Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:43 a.m. Receiving stolen property and court order.

Shannon K. Yocum, 36, 2700 block of Putnam Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:49 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Arlo A. Paletis, 29, 10 block of South 16th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:54 p.m. Criminal conversion and criminal trespassing.

Keenan J. Harris, 36, 2900 block of Maple Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 7:21 p.m. Resisting law enforcement.

Matthew L. Duke, 22, 1800 block of South Sixth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:52 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Phillip D. Payne, 51, 2400 block of Liberty Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 11:56 p.m. Failure to appear.

Friday

Charlie Whitney, 27, 1100 block of South 10th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:30 a.m. Battery-domestic.

Thomas R. Reister, 21, 900 block Castlewood Drive, New Albany. Booked 6:14 a.m. Public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
