The Tribune-Star

CLOVERDALE — The west-bound lanes of Interstate 70 re-opened Thursday evening after being temporarily closed due to a crash near the Greencastle/Cloverdale exit.

One person was airlifted from the scene of the crash, which involved three vehicles; however, the person was conscious and his injuries did not appear life-threatening, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash took place about one mile west of the Indiana 231 exit.

West-bound traffic was diverted to U.S. 40 temporarily while crews worked at the scene.
