Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank and B&S Plumbing Heating & Cooling Inc. are cooperating to help less fortunate families in the area by offering meals this holiday season.
Through Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank and United Way of the Wabash Valley, B&S Plumbing Heating & Cooling Inc. is providing hams to families in the area to help complete their Christmas dinners.
“The holidays are times for family, but they are also a time when many families are in need,” Sally Stewart, B&S Plumbing Heating & Cooling Inc., said in a press release.
Catholic Charities and United Way of the Wabash Valley will distribute the frozen hams at Ryves Youth Center (14th & Locust) at 9 a.m. on Friday, on a first-come, first-served basis. The limit is one ham per household. Proof of residency is required.
“We are thrilled that B&S Plumbing Heating & Cooling, Inc. made this very generous gift to our community,” Troy Fears, UWWV executive director, said. “This will help ensure that many families in the area will have a Christmas dinner to remember.”
John Etling, agency director of Catholic Charities, said he is grateful to partner with people in the community who want to provide help, especially to families with children, “Thank you, Sally and Bill Stewart, owners of B&S Plumbing Heating & Cooling Inc., and all those who reach out at this time of the year to create hope.”
