Ministry taking apps for Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas programs

TERRE HAUTE — Covenant Cooperative Ministry will be taking applications for Thanksgiving food baskets and for its Christmas programs — Teen Angels and Little Angel Trees, and the Terre Haute Exchange Club Bikes For Tykes.

Low-Income Vigo County families with children ages infant to age 17 may apply from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 30 and 31 in the ministry at 122 S. 10 1/2 St.

Applicants are required to bring the following documents:

• Picture ID

• Proof of all household income

• Proof of state benefits (food stamps, TANF)

• Current utility bill

• Birth certificates for children under age 17

CCM’s Angel Trees help provide Christmas presents for children from low-income families. CCM also welcomes sponsors for families this Christmas and volunteers to help in the Christmas Warehouse. The ministry is now accepting financial contributions for the Christmas program. For more information call 812-478-7700.
