---- — A driver going the wrong way on eastbound Interstate 70 reportedly caused a serious crash near the Lieber State Recreation Area exit Thursday night.

Traffic was being diverted onto U.S. 40 as emergency responders worked at the scene, according to police.

There was no immediate word on injuries from the incident, which Indiana State Police are calling a “serious crash,” which took place near the 36-mile marker on I-70 east.

“The crash appears to involve a wrong-way driver in a passenger car and one tractor-trailer,” the ISP reported in a news release issued a little before 10 p.m.
