United Day for United Way is today in Wabash Valley

TERRE HAUTE — Grocery stores. Banks. Restaurants. These are a few of the places where you can drop off a donation to the United Way of the Wabash Valley today.

United Day for United Way, a 12-hour fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., is a last push toward reaching this year’s goal of $1.86 million.

Contributions can be dropped off at any of the following locations: Baesler’s Market (Terre Haute and Sullivan stores); Clark County Title Co. (Marshall, Ill.); First Financial Bank (32 locations); Indiana State University; Macy’s; Old National Bank (eight sites); Pizza Hut (Marshall, Ill.); Riddell National Bank (two locations); Terre Haute Savings Bank (five sites); and Walmart (Terre Haute south and east locations; Brazil, Clinton and Marshall, Ill.).

Also occurring today:

• At Baesler’s in Terre Haute, local celebrities will be bagging groceries, pumping gasoline and washing car windows for tips for the United Way.

• Dine United, in which a portion of sales from patrons’ meals at local restaurants are donated to the United Way. For a list of participating restaurants, visit www.uwwv.org.
