Lost, freezing dog looking for its owner

TERRE HAUTE — At about 1 p.m. today, Suzanne Franklin’s son found a lost, exhausted dog lying by a tree at 15th and Ohio streets in Terre Haute.

“It literally had ice on its fur,” she said.

Now, she is hoping to reunite the dog with its owner in time for Christmas.

It’s a larger dog and appears to be a mix, she said. It is reddish brown on top and its feet are white. The dog has brown, sad eyes and he appears to be an older dog, she said.

The family has fed him, bathed and brushed him, brushed his teeth and found him a collar — and they are looking for his owners.

If you are the owner, contact Franklin at 917-2403.
