The Tribune-Star

PARIS, ILL. — The Edgar County, Ill., Sheriff’s Department is urging motorists to stay off the roads amid “extremely bad” road conditions Tuesday night. Blowing snow was creating a “white out” situation, according to the sheriff’s department. Visibility was down to 500 feet. Numerous vehicles were sliding off the roadways into ditches, the department reported.

Meanwhile, in Clark County, travel conditions were said to be dangerous due to snow and wind.

Six to eight inches of snow was expected in Edgar County with slightly less in portions of northern Clark County. Southern Clark County was expected to receive four to five inches of snow.
