TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.


Kaleigh N. Elkins, 21, 1200 block of North Smith Place, West Terre Haute. Booked 9:37 a.m. Failure to appear.

Amy E. Bell, 34, 2100 block of North 13th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:50 a.m. Habitual traffic violator.

Heather K. Pine, 31, 1400 block of South Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:46 a.m. Precursor violations and manufacture of methamphetamine.

Misti D. Mills, 41, 1400 block of South Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:53 a.m. Precursor violations.

Todd L. Prilaman, 41, 1400 block of Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 1:19 p.m. Resisting law enforcement and probation violation.

Steven W. Crawford, 49, 4300 block of North 19th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:12 p.m. Probation violation.

Gary L. Buza, 57, 1200 block of Mulberry Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:42 p.m. Court order.

Ernest C. Cowart, 25, 2300 block of Chase Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:37 p.m. Theft.

Robert Richey, 38, 600 block of Main Street, Lafayette. Booked 4:21 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Enreuque K. Brown, 21, 500 block of Gilbert Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 5:39 p.m. Criminal trespassing and resisting law enforcement.

Chad A. Fisher, 34, 1000 block of North Atherton Street, Rosedale. Booked 6:04 p.m. Failure to appear.

Jeremy M. Batchelor, 34, 1600 block of Spruce Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:42 p.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

Tabitha M. Batchelor, 35, 1600 block of Spruce Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:15 p.m. Failure to appear.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
