---- — INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Much of Indiana has seen its coldest weather in a couple years, with even more frigid temperatures forecast for next week.

The National Weather Service recorded this morning lows of 10 below zero in Fort Wayne and Goshen. That set the coldest mark for the date ever recorded in Fort Wayne.

The weather service says the 2 below zero temperature recorded in Indianapolis today was the city’s coldest since Jan. 21, 2011.

The state Department of Homeland Security reported more than a third of Indiana’s 92 counties had a travel advisory or watch in place as cleanup continues from this week’s snowfall.

More snow is forecast over the weekend, followed by lows in the teens below zero next week.
