More candidates file for upcoming May primary

TERRE HAUTE — Incumbent Vigo County Sheriff Greg Ewing filed his Democratic candidacy Thursday for the 2014 primary election.

Other filings in Vigo County Thursday included Democrat Tim Curley for the District 1 seat on the Vigo County Council. Curley is the incumbent.

Other filings from incumbents include Democrats Deborah Kirk-Peters for Harrison Township Trustee, Paul E. Allsup for Fayette Township Trustee and Jim Christman for Sugar Creek Township Trustee. Robert H. Lawson Jr. filed as a Democrat for the Harrison Township Advisory Board.

Republican Dena Benham Martin filed her candidacy for Superior Court Judge in Greene County, according to the Indiana Secretary of State’s office.

Candidates have until Feb. 7 to file for the May 6 primary.
