A new trial date for a man who allegedly killed his 4-year-old son has been set, and court officials say the trial could take six weeks.
Katron Walker, 34, is charged in Vigo County Superior Court Division 3 with murder and attempted murder in the June 2006 death of 4-year-old son Collin Walker and wounding of 2-year-old son Monte Walker. Walker faces the death penalty. He is represented by attorneys Jessie Cook and Joseph Etling.
Judge David Bolk on Thursday said the court will allot two weeks for jury selection, to begin Sept. 22, 2008. The main portion of the trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 6, 2008.
Walker declined comment Thursday.
