Beginning Monday, Indiana State University’s Recycle Center will accept electronic items as part of its regular recycling drop-off services.
Unwanted e-gear such as old computers, keyboards, mice, phone chargers, power strips, shredders and similar devices can be left inside the center’s drive-through lot at 447 N. Ninth St. during its usual business hours.
Televisions are not included on the list of regularly acceptable items, but they can be recycled at the center on the first Tuesday of each quarter. The first “TV Tuesday” is July 7. Future television recycling days are Oct. 6, Jan. 5 and April 6.
Depending on size, there is a $5 or $10 fee for dropping off an unwanted television.
The Recycle Center’s hours are 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 6 a.m. to noon, Saturday and Sunday.
