Death of Linton man under investigation

— Police are investigating a shooting over the weekend that left a Linton man dead.
A preliminary investigation showed the victim in the shooting, Jarrett E. Nicholson, 26, was shot during a fight inside the home of Michael Gallagher of Linton, according to a media statement issued by Indiana State Police.
Nicholson was taken to Greene County General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
As of Monday evening, there had been no arrests in the case, according to State Police.
State Police are being assisted in the investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, the Greene County Coroner’s office and the Linton Police Department.
