Indianapolis man dies in Vermillion County accident

An accident in Vermillion County involving a semitrailer claimed an Indianapolis man’s life late Monday afternoon.
Daniel Mathis, 37, died after his vehicle collided with the rear of a semi about 5 p.m. Monday on Indiana 63, north of the Little Vermillion Bridge, according to a Vermillion County dispatcher’s report.
Mathis’ vehicle struck the back of the semi and then flipped several times, causing him to be ejected. He was taken to West Central Community Hospital in Clinton and pronounced dead there, the dispatcher said.
