Pilot in fair condition after Monday crash

A Vincennes man remained in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in fair condition Tuesday afternoon after crashing his airplane south of Palestine, Ill., on Monday evening.
Terry M. Brown, 55, was taken to Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, Ill., around 6:38 p.m. Monday, where he was stabilized and then flown by helicopter to Indianapolis, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
A Methodist Hospital spokesman said Brown was in fair condition Tuesday afternoon.
According to a media release issued by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, Brown’s Cessna 150 crashed near a residence at 19031 E. Timber Ridge St., south of Palestine, Ill., near River Road about 6:38 p.m. Monday.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash, and a message left with the investigator was not returned Tuesday.
