TERRE HAUTE April 11, 2008 09:27 pm

Terre Haute fire officials are investigating an early morning fire that destroyed the soon-to-open Hillary Clinton campaign office at 1426 S. Third St.
A passing motorist called 911 at 12:18 a.m. to report that the roof of the building was on fire, according to a fire department release. The witness then ran to the building and notified two workers inside the building who had no knowledge of the fire, the report states. Seconds after the occupants left the building, the fire came through the ceiling of the office area.
No one was hurt. The structure also housing the Westaff office was a total loss.
