A Plainfield man remained in the Vigo County jail Wednesday after his arrest Monday for allegedly stabbing a hotel employee.
Tony Mills, 34, Plainfield, was arrested by Terre Haute police on an allegation of armed robbery, while he also faces two charges of failure to pay child support.
Mills was detained under $100,000 bail. Police were called around 7 a.m. March 20 by a day-shift employee coming to work after she found a night clerk had been stabbed in the upper body and was lying inside the Ramada Limited on Margaret Avenue.
The victim was rushed to surgery, and reportedly identified Mills from a photo lineup.
