Great response to annual golf outing

Once again, this community has responded and made the Wabash Valley Community Foundation’s 19th Annual Golf Outing a success. The Community Foundation board, volunteers and staff would like to thank all of those who participated and sponsored the event. The event netted over $32,000 for the Community Foundation.

This tournament wouldn’t have been such a successful fundraising event if it weren’t for the generosity of our various sponsors. We would like to recognize Monarch Beverage for again being the title sponsor of this event for the ninth year.

Our other major sponsors include Sackrider and Co. (trophy sponsor), Riddell National Bank (lunch sponsor), Templeton Coal Co. (cart sponsor), Burke Spring Inc. (food tent sponsor), Riddell National Bank. Wabash Valley Mechanical Contractors and Westminster Village Terre Haute (beverage cart sponsors), Smith Barney-Terry Hogan (hole-in-one sponsor) Baesler’s Market (snack and raffle prize sponsor), and Terre Haute Savings Bank (water sponsor).

The hole sponsorships demonstrate the extent of the community support for the Community Foundation. The Foundation appreciates their generosity. Twenty-nine teams played in the outing. Congratulations to Industrial Supply Co. team of Don Ireland, Jack Simpson, Tristan Ireland and Jason Ireland for winning with the lowest gross score and to Central Wabash Valley Construction Trades team of Mike Jones, Bill Treash, Bubba Harris and Jeff Hayes for winning with the lowest net score.

Congratulations also to First Financial Bank-Trust Services, second place low net; First Financial Bank, second place low gross; Light House Mission, third place low net; and City of Terre Haute, third place low gross.
