Another great Strawberry Fest
Once again, First Congregational Church has completed a successful Strawberry Fest, and we find ourselves offering thanks to the many in Terre Haute and the Wabash Valley who worked to make the 25th Annual Strawberry Fest a great success.
Over 100 volunteers showed up to help with every aspect of the day, ensuring that berries were served, trash was cleared and laughter was handy. Many thanks to Downtown Terre Haute for helping us publicize our call to volunteers. Without the generous gift of time provided by our partners, the Fest wouldn’t be possible, and we are thankful for their willingness and spirit of community.
A big “thank you” to the media outlets who helped get the word out about the joyous celebration of 25 years of strawberries at the corner of 6th and Ohio.
Special thanks to Complete Outdoor, Cintas and Republic for their help and assistance in getting things put together so the Fest could run smoothly. As always, we are grateful for the hard work and brilliant planning of Scott at B&B Foods, who makes sure we have everything we need to fill the 10,000 orders for strawberry shortcakes.
We are always thankful to Norm Lowery and all the fine folks at First Financial for their continued assistance and support and for always showing us the true spirit of “neighbor” in our community.
To everyone who attended, shared your business card with clients and colleagues or made an advance order for pick up, your support of Strawberry Fest allows First Congregational Church to open our doors to the many worthwhile groups and organizations in need of meeting space and allows us to continue to be a downtown presence of hope and healing.
See you next year at the 26th Annual Strawberry Fest.
