TERRE HAUTE — Bees continue to show support

Every school year is different. Even though it is the same building, the dynamics change with every new group of students that enter the doors. However, at Honey Creek Middle School, one thing remains the same each and every year, and that is the giving spirit the staff, students, parents and community continue to demonstrate.

It never ceases to amaze me how much support comes from within the walls of our building. The Honey Creek Middle School community is so generous in their willingness and efforts to support great and worthy causes in our school, city and state.

Once again, the Honey Creek community has stepped up to the plate and worked together for some great causes this school year.

Through the collaborative efforts of many different individuals, great organizations and families have been assisted.

Honey Creek Middle School and its community support have helped raise funds for the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department to purchase a new dog for its K9 unit and donated numerous non-perishable food items to the Share Your Thanksgiving drive. Our student council and sponsors Amanda McDowell and Sara Fears have coordinated fundraisers to raise money for Riley Children’s Hospital. Throughout the school year we have collected and raised funds to continue supporting the backpack program for the Vigo County School Corp.

We are so proud of our Honey Creek Bees. The staff, students, parents and community leaders continue to give of themselves so that others can benefit.

There is no better school and school corporation to be a part of than HCMS and VCSC. We are simply the best.
