EPA strikes again on firetruck issue

The second most hated power hungry governmental agency, EPA, has done it again. What? They have stopped the loaning or giving of surplus fire equipment to local fire districts. Why? Job-destroying EPA says, “Surplus fire equipment does not meet ‘our’ pollution standard.”

Big whooping deal. It’s not as if this equipment is running up and down the roads 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The equipment is mainly used  for rural brush and grass fires. If you want to talk about phony pollution control, out-of-control brush fires, without the equipment to extinguish, causes more bad stuff than all the fire trucks in the USofA.

What are they going to do with surplus equipment? This is guesses or reasoning on my part. Give it to the Muslims, so they will like us? Maybe other countries for the same reason? Sell it for scrap?

On the dark side, due to failed policies to decrease unemployment, we can force fire districts to increase taxes on the working people in order to purchase new fire equipment. New equipment equals more manufacturing employees.

Pat us on the back, just look at what we have done for the economy.

Heading down an ungodly path

I want to congratulate Tribune-Star for the page In God We Trust that they published on July 3.

It was quoted from our founding fathers and early historians. I hope everyone read it. It shows how far we have gone from God and the original goals set by these men.

Some of our leaders today have taken God out of everything. Some of the ungodly things that our leaders are endorsing are just terrible.

I can’t understand how one federal judge can make such ungodly decisions. The Supreme Court is making bad decisions, too.

I pray for our country to have a spiritual awakening and put God back into our nation.

Our young people are being led down the wrong way of life. Thank you for letting me speak my opinion.

God Bless America.
