Candidate is a community asset
We need to support Jon Ford for state Senate (District 38) in the Republican primary. I think Jon has the qualities to make an outstanding state senator for our district. Jon Ford owns and runs a small manufacturing business in Terre Haute and knows what it means to make a payroll and the necessity for budgets and fiscal responsibility. I feel with Jon Ford’s business background he understands the need to grow jobs in this district and will work hard in Indianapolis to bring good jobs to our community.
Jon’s strong voice in Indianapolis can only enhance local efforts to bring jobs here. Having good jobs will bring more economic stability to our area and more opportunity will make it possible for our children and grandchildren to stay here. As a businessman, Jon Ford knows that a good education is essential to having a strong work force and he knows the value of job training.
Jon Ford cares about making this a great place to grow up, live and work. Jon is an asset to the community and is active on various local boards and charities giving him an opportunity to promote the Wabash Valley. Jon knows that offering a wide range of activities such as the Swope Art Gallery, Children’s Museum and walking trails only enhances our community appeal. Of course, since Jon coach’s soccer he knows that youth sports are also important.
I know that as our state senator Jon Ford will work hard to bring jobs and promote efforts to improve our infrastructure through funding efforts.

Good choice for township assessor
With my term as Harrison Township assessor coming to a close, I would like to thank the Citizens of Harrison Township and assessor’s staff for all the kindness shown to my family and me. It has been a real pleasure and privilege serving the people of Harrison Township.
Looking to the future, I would like to take this opportunity to endorse Democrat Don Pruett, who is currently running for the office of Harrison Township assessor.
Don is a skilled professional who served this area as a firefighter and fire investigator for many years. Don is presently serving as chief deputy assessor with nearly eight years practical experience in the assessor’s office, and holds a Level III Indiana State Assessor Certification, the highest in Indiana. Don has pledged to be a full time assessor with an open door policy for the citizens of Harrison Township.
I would urge the people of Harrison Township to vote for Don Pruett for Harrison Township assessor as his dedication to community service is second only to his sense of fairness, which he has demonstrated his entire life.
