Linton police search for battery suspects

LINTON — The Linton Police Department and the Indiana State Police are looking for two women who are alleged to have repeatedly attacked another woman then struck her with a vehicle, authorities said.

According to a release from Indiana State Police, arrest warrants have been issued for Cynthia R. Cox and Kathleen E. Featherstone for criminal confinement, a class-C felony, and battery resulting in bodily injury, a class-A misdemeanor.

Linton PD officers interviewed the alleged victim and found several injuries to her face, including bruising, bleeding, redness and swelling, police said. The vehicle involved was a white 2005 four-door Chevrolet Cavalier.

Linton Police Chief Troy Jerrell told media that Greene County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Cox and Featherstone, according to the release.
