Vigo County Jail Log: Feb. 6, 2014

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.


Thomas R. McCullough, 48, 200 block of South 13th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:13 p.m. Burglary, receiving stolen property and failure to appear.

Matthew J. Thomas, 26, 1500 block of Chestnut Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:15 p.m. Probation violation.

Shawnacy C. Turpin, 26, 100 block of South First Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:25 p.m. Bond revocation.

Brian S. Snodgrass, 34, 600 block of South Sixth Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 5:31 p.m. Failure to appear.

Donald R. Bracken, 38, 1400 block of Lower Sandford Road, West Terre Haute. Booked 6:42 p.m. Driving while suspended.

Virgil K. Weir, 49, 2300 block of North Orchard Place, West Terre Haute. Booked 7:26 p.m. Possession of chemical reagents/precursors.

Eddie J. Walton, 54, 600 block of Cherry Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:21 p.m. Public intoxication.

Michael A. Newburn, 24, 300 block of South Seventh Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 10:55 p.m. Driver never licensed.


Jason K. Adams, 25, 10 block of South 15th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:32 a.m. Failure to appear.

Joshua D. Tackett, 26, 1700 block of North 26th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 1:40 a.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
