TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Saturday

Walter P. Higgins, 33, 2000 block of North 23rd Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:31 a.m. Disorderly conduct, public intoxication and criminal mischief.

Joseph D. Higgins, 26, 5300 block of North 15th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:34 a.m. Public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

William E. Mundell, 2200 block of South 20th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:57 a.m. Failure to appear, possession of chemical reagents/precursors, domestic battery, strangulation and possession of marijunana/hash.

Eric G. Couthen, 42, 3800 block of North 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:47 a.m. Failure to appear.

Quintin M. Towles, 24, 1300 block of Chestnut Street, Terre Haute. Booked 7:22 a.m. Failure to appear.

Quintin M. Towles, 24, 1300 block of Chestnut Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:43 a.m. Domestic battery.

Phillip A. Foster, 19, 2200 block of Fifth Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 11:33 a.m. Criminal reckless, motor vehicle theft, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driver never licensed.

Frank Cooper, 25, 10 block of Bingham Court, Indianapolis. Booked 4:31 p.m. Parole violation.

Mary E. Ousky, 34, 1400 block of Elm Street, Terre Haute. Booked 5:42 p.m. Battery.

Harty L. Crow, 37, 900 block of West Allison Drive, West Terre Haute. Booked 8:03 p.m. Domestic battery.

Thomas D. McDaniel, 18, 2600 block of North 17th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 9:54 p.m. Serious battery.

Donaciano F. Campas, 23, 3800 block of North 25th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:48 p.m. Possession of weapon with altered identification number, possession of marijuana/hash and carrying a handgun without a permit.

Jennifer Bayliff, 30, 9200 block of Bakers Corner Drive, Camby. Booked 1 a.m. Habitual traffic violator.

Mark A. West, 48, 10 block of Windemere Road, West Terre Haute. Operating while intoxicated.

Larry O. Strong Jr., 39, 400 block of South Fifth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 3:09 a.m. Failure to appear and possession of marijuana/hash.

Jack R. Smith, 60, 400 block of North 21st Street, Terre Haute. Booked 12:34 p.m. Domestic battery.

Bruce E. Chapman, 25, 1900 block of Maple Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 4 p.m. Intimidation (two counts).

Justina R. Sangster, 25, 1400 block of Barbour Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 5:15 p.m. Public intoxication.

Corey D. King, 35, 1900 block of College Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:22 p.m. Battery and failure to appear.

Monday

Lukman S. Strader, 21, 1400 block of South 14th Street, Terre Haute. Booked 2:42 a.m. Public intoxication.

Jessie M. Berrocal, 20, 1300 block of Linwood Court, Terre Haute. Booked 4:27 a.m. Domestic battery and invasion of privacy.

Christa L. Winkler, 35, 300 block of St. Clair Street, Paris, Ill. Booked 8:19 a.m. Failure to appear.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
