Vigo County under 'travel watch' due to winter storm

TERRE HAUTE — Vigo County is tonight under a “travel watch,” issued by the county Emergency Management Agency.

The EMA issued a “travel watch” for Vigo County early this evening. A “watch” means conditions are threatening to public safety, the watch notice stated.

Only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended. Emergency action plans should be implemented by business, schools, government agencies and other organizations.
